HomeSource Systems

Rebrand

The new logo, new brand standards, and new website for an upcoming company in southern New Jersey

Concept

Our CEO's biggest complaint about their old logo was that it looked "too much like a real estate company and not enough like a tech company". HomeSource was built on being the "home source for everything your business needs" and he wanted to keep the house in the logo.

Process

My design colleague and I wanted something that kept elements of the old logo (in order to maintain brand recognition with our established clients) while modernizing and cleaning up the appearance.

End Result

What we ended on was something that blended modern elements and the house symbol while also introducing a touch of tech in the form of circuits. These circuits would later become a large part of the brand standards.

Branding Standards

Before now, HomeSource Systems didn't have much of anything when it came to branding standards - no fonts, no color palette, no imagery. Before even touching the site redesign, we knew we had to establish fonts, colors, and imagery, such as the circuit background.

HomeSource offers multiple services, each of which our CEO wanted to differentiate from each other. Each color is used to represent a service and come together in the branding to represent HomeSource as a whole.

Web Redesign

Once the new logo and branding standards were approved, we were able to move onto the new website. We gathered various aspects we liked from different sources then designed and prototyped in Adobe XD. Once it was finished, we worked daily with developers to ensure everything was correct.
